Allie & Pals Rescue is a volunteer and foster home based all-breed dog rescue, located in Buffalo, NY. We are not a shelter, so every dog that we bring into our rescue goes into a loving foster home until they find their furever families. We make it our goal to help dogs in our local community as well as transport dogs from high kill shelters nationally.
A common trend that we have been noticing is that often times, dogs are surrendered due to a lack of training. We understand that a great majority of dog owners do not have an extensive background in animal behavior. We are aiming to help bridge that gap! At A&P Rescue, we supply our adopters with a training consultation prior to adoption. We provide continuous training support and referrals throughout your adoption with us!
Dr. Yowpa and the entire encompass team takes the best care of our rescue animals and will help in any way that they can. Encompass Animal Care & Health is a certified 501c(3) Non-profit devoted to using their medical knowledge and resources to assist rescue organizations in giving all pets a healthy life. They service all rescues, adoption facilities, and income qualified individuals afford high-quality veterinary care.

Our motivation behind this rescue is this crazy little Italian Greyhound. Allie was seized for animal cruelty and ended up in a local shelter. It was discovered here that she not only suffered neglect but she also had a liver condition. The shelter staff was amazing with her and was proactive about her medical needs. They knew Allie would benefit from a rescue organization, where she could have more one on one attention, so they made it their mission to set her up for success. An amazing rescue stepped up and placed her into a foster home, where they could work on her medical needs and behavior challenges. Allie then got bumped to a new foster, where she ended up staying with Emily! After multiple vet visits, testing, and different medications, the rescue was able to pinpoint Allie's condition with the help of Dr. Sutton.
If it wasn't for amazing rescue organizations, dogs like Allie wouldn't get a second chance at life. We aim to work hand in hand with various other rescue organizations, animal shelters, veterinary offices, and our local community.
Thank you for being our driving force, little pistachio head.
A major thank you to The SPCA Serving Erie County, The Italian Greyhound Club of America Rescue, and Dr. Sutton and staff at Transit Valley Animal Hospital, for helping our girl on the road to her forever family.
(If you couldn't guess already, Allie was a foster fail and is now living out the rest of her life with Emily.)
