Volunteers are the backbone of Allie & Pals Rescue and rescue organizations could not operate without the help of their amazing volunteers. Are you looking for a way to give back and have a passion for saving dogs? This may be the perfect opportunity for you!
Here at A&P Rescue, there is a volunteer opportunity for everyone!
Add to your resume and help rescue dogs at the same time!
Our biggest need is for application processing volunteers. We are constantly receiving adoption applications all day every day, and we need a dedicated team of volunteers to help assist us.
Every potential adopter must undergo a home check prior to adoption. These volunteers visit their home to ensure it is a safe and caring environment for one of our dogs. These volunteers also answer any questions the adopters may have and help us get to know them better.
Rescues rely heavily on donations through fundraising events. These volunteers help plan and coordinate events under our Development Coordinator. Event days are all hands on deck!
These volunteers are responsible for contacting an applicant's veterinary reference and personal references. We need to ensure that all potential adopters are in good standing.
Transport days are full of excitement and organized chaos. Volunteers help everything go smoothly and organized as we welcome southern dogs to Buffalo.
Since we are not a shelter, all of our dogs are located in foster homes. This means sometimes fosters need additional supplies brought to them. These volunteers will drop off dewormer, blankets, food, medication, etc. when needed.
Social media has become a major component of finding dogs homes. Marketing volunteers will help create social media content to help save more dogs in need.
Paperwork in rescue is never ending and clerical volunteers help us stay organized. This involves sorting transport documents, writing thank you notes, scheduling spay/neuter appointments, and overseeing the rescue schedule.
Since we are solely foster home based, sometimes our foster parents are not able to drive our dogs to their vet appointments. These volunteers can help coordinate with the foster parents to make sure everyone can make all of their appointments.
